What do I need to bring?

Not much. Just your swimwear and a towel. We provide all equipment and sunscreen.

Can I store valuables during my lesson?

We encourage you to leave anything valuable or important in your hotel room or at home. We will provide you with somewhere to store your clothes.

Do lessons include the rental of equipment as well?

Yes! Our lesson prices include everything that you need including a surfboard, wetsuit, rash-vest and sunscreen. BYO swimwear.

What if it’s raining?

As we say, you’re going to get wet anyway – and some of the best waves come with the rain! Our lessons are held rain, hail or shine. The only reason we will cancel is if the conditions are dangerous.

Can I change my lesson date or time?

We try to stay flexible and can usually accommodate changes to booked lessons – as long we have more than 24 hours notice.

What is your cancellation policy?

We surf in all weather and surf conditions providing it is safe. If the surf is too big, or the conditions unsafe, then we will reschedule the lesson. If we change the time and you are unable to come to the new lesson, then we will provide a refund. Otherwise there are no refunds, transfers to other people, or cancellations.

If you would like to reschedule a lesson you have booked, we need at least 24 hours notice. Failure to give the necessary notice will mean forfeiture of that lesson.

Are there kids in my lesson?

We have a dedicated kids’ program for children from 7 to 16 years. Our minimum age for adult lessons is 12 years but most kids prefer the kids’ classes. If you want to experience a surf lesson with your kids we recommend you book a private lesson where you can bring your kids (over 7 years).

Yes! We have a huge range of quality O’Neill wetsuits in all shapes and sizes.

Can I wear contact lenses in the surf?

Yes but not glasses.

Do I need to be able to swim?

A lot of our lessons are held in waist-deep water but we do ask that you’re able to swim 50 metres (the length of an Olympic swimming pool) for all group lessons. Contact us if you are unsure of your swimming ability.
